Do or Don't: First Look

Not sure about doing a First Look? Don't worry I got you!

First, let's talk about the benefits of doing a First Look.

  1. You get to see your Boo before anyone else.

  2. More time for Pictures! Yay, I love this!

  3. The emotions of seeing each other for the First Time are just the same as walking down the aisle.

  4. If you cry, feel bashful, nervous, its okay! It's only me and Bae.

  5. More time to relax after the Ceremony. By getting the First Look + Romantics done earlier, you can free up time during Cocktail Hour to mingle with your Guest.

Now, let's talk about the benefits of NOT doing a First Look.

  1. You do not have to be ready as early.

  2. Your crew will not be waiting around. Maybe carve out time with your Bridal Party for Pre-Ceremony Photos. Save time later for Family and Romantics.

  3. The first time you see your fiancé on your wedding day will be special, regardless. But waiting for the alter builds up more anticipation and sometimes emotion.

  4. There is nothing wrong with being traditional! No one says you have to do a First Look.

If you are toying with the idea of a First Look but not feelin it 100%, I GOT YOU! Here are some alternatives to the First Look:

  1. Handwritten notes to one another.

  2. Sharing a prayer before walking down the aisle, no peeking though!

  3. First Look with your Parent(s) instead.

So what do you think? Are First Looks for you?
